The timeless pastoral practice of transhumance has always fascinated Giono, to the point of becoming an emblematic theme.
This exhibition presents photographers' views of transhumance and texts by Jean Giono.
It's also an opportunity to talk about the fact that transhumance has been included on UNESCO's list of the world's intangible heritage.
It's a poetic journey, thanks to photos by Emmanuel Breteau, Marcel Coen and François-Xavier Emery and texts by Giono from Le Serpent d'étoiles (1933) and L'Iris de Suse, his last novel (1970).
