Temporary exhibition

"Display, Move, Touch"

Exhibition from 19 June to 30 August 2026

The exhibition “Display, Move, Touch” features interactive displays designed by the designer and visual artist Nawal Nouar, showcasing the collections of the Petra Castellana association.
These installations are part of an initiative to highlight local heritage. They offer a different perspective on the museum’s collections, whilst inviting the public to become active participants in the installation, thereby bringing the exhibited objects to life and enabling them to become creators of heritage.

Nawal Nouar, a graduate of the Saint-Étienne School of Art and Design, is a designer and visual artist. Her work explores artefacts as sensitive witnesses to our lives, whether ancient or contemporary. Through installations, scenography and narratives, she explores the links between everyday objects and the legacies of the past, revealing what they say about our identities, our relationships and our connection to places.
Her approach emphasises the subjectivity of perspectives, the memory of objects and their capacity to convey personal, social or cultural narratives.
This project follows on from a ‘Création en cours’ residency with the Ateliers Médicis and exhibitions at the Musée des Alpilles and the Mac Arteum.
