"Textile seed - Hemp, a forgotten crop ?" Exhibition

In 2023, the Maison Nature & Patrimoines welcomes a new exhibition " Textile seed - Hemp, a forgotten crop ?" created with the association Petra Castellana
Cultivated for thousands of years for its fiber, transformed into shirts, sheets or ropes, hemp was neglected for a century before seeing its cultivation reborn at the end of the 20th century.
This exhibition highlights the qualities of hemp and allows you to discover the history, ancient and current uses, contemporary artworks and botany of this unjustly forgotten plant.
